The Atlantic City bar that never closes was forced to close after a car plowed through the front wall of The Irish Pub Sunday afternoon.

The Press of Atlantic City reports that a vehicle plowed through the front door of the famous city landmark, located on the beach block at St. James Place.

"The patrons who had been sitting there had just left about five or 10 minutes before it happened," according to Atlantic City Fire Chief Dennis Brooks.

One bar patron reported a minor injury, but refused treatment.

The Pub closed while a structural check was done to determine the stability of the structure after the crash.

The driver is being questioned by police.
