Every Thursday morning at 7:15am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City brings in the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

All of the animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped before adoption. All animals also receive an Alumni Card which entitles them to a 10% lifetime discount for veterinary services at the Humane Society of Ocean City clinic.

This week we met Nip the cat…

Here is some information on Nip from the Humane Society of Ocean City:

“Nip is a sleek black cat. He is about 8 years old. His owner moved out of the apartment and left him behind. He does not like being in the shelter and it shows. He is a very sad cat that just wants some attention and a quiet place to sleep.

He would do best in a home that is quiet. He would probably be fine with other cats as long as they don't pick on him. he probably would not do well with dogs.

If interested in given Nip a Furever Home we will discount his adoption fee to $30.00. Nip comes up to date with all his shots receives a 10% discount at our veterinary center."
