As part of the promotion for his upcoming album, “White People Party Music,” Nick Cannon has posted this photo of himself in whiteface to his Instagram with the caption:

It’s official… I’m White!!! #WHITEPEOPLEPARTYMUSIC #Wppm in stores April 1st!!!!!!Dude Go Get It!!!Join The Party!!!! #GoodCredit #DogKissing #BeerPong #FarmersMarkets #FistPumping #CreamCheeseEating #RacialDraft “Bro I got drafted!!”

Cannon also posted several videos to Instagram dressed as his white alter ego, Connor Smallnut. In the videos it appears he is attempting to imitate the way he believes white men act.

The former Nickelodeon star is married to pop and R&B star Mariah Carey, who is half white and half black. Back in 2009, Cannon entered a feud with white rapper Eminem after he slandered Carey in a few of his songs for her choice of men. Mathers never points out her race.

Remember, Nick Cannon's whiteface schtick isn't the first time this has been tried.  Eddie Murphy, Dave Chappelle and the Wayans Brothers have also done the "look at me, I'm a white guy" routine quite successfully with mixed audiences in the past.

My question to you, is this funny or a double standard? Vote now in the attached poll.  You can also feel free to leave a comment below, but please keep the contest clean and thoughtful. No hateful comments please!
