So as it turns out New Jersey peeps are some of the most unrested individuals in America. New York beats us, but they actually call themselves the city that never sleeps so I would expect nothing less.  I dug in to see what we can do besides the obvious "get to bed earlier, don't use your phone within an hour of wanting to fall asleep" tips. Skip the warm milk too (that only wakes you up to go to the bathroom). What you should really be focusing on is your air!  Yep, bad air means bad sleep.

It's all the about the plants you choose!  To freshen your air and ensure that you're sleeping peacefully all night, you should add certain plants to your bedroom! These require little maintenance and provide A LOT  of benefits. Take a quick look at the list below.

Aloe Vera is another awesome plant to have in your home. Of course it has healing properties...I'm sure mom used to cut one of those leaves open whenever you had a sunburn. Well, aloe plants are great for your air quality too! A natural air purifier, aloe will keep you breathing easy as you sleep.

Peace Lilies are also a great addition! Not only do they look beautiful, they remove formaldehyde and benzene from the air and they add a bit of humidity. I know you would not think of humidity and being comfortable in the same sentence, but some humidity is great for sleeping...the added moisture in the air coats your airways which makes for more restful sleep.

Bamboo Palms are great for a corner in your bedroom. Many people have an artificial version of this plant but I urge you to get the real thing. It works around the clock to remove toxins from the air. It has a way of being like a natural fabreeze too...eliminating odors. (This one is not good for pets if they are chewers though).
