Lite Rock 96.9 WFPG will be apart of Galloway's National Night Out celebration, being held at the municipal complex at 300 East Jimmy Leeds Road, beginning tonight at 6p.m. Last year's event in Galloway drew a crowd of 5000 people.

The 29th Annual National Night Out is a unique crime and drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. The campaign involves law enforcement, civic groups, businesses and citizens from 15,000 communities in all 50 states.  In all, 37 million people are expected to participate in National Night Out!

The idea is to throw a community party to heighten crime and drug abuse prevention, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and send the message to criminals to let them know communities are organized and fighting back.

Tonight's festivities include a cookout and demonstrations by the police K-9 unit and medivac helicopter.  Stop by to say hi to Lite Rock and enter to win a $250 gift certificate courtesy of Terry Ivory Jewelers in Ocean City and Stone Harbor.
