Gov. Murphy has announced some changes to his limits on when restaurants have to close each night and also at what capacity they may operate at.

As reported by NJ.com, an executive order has been signed to lift the 10PM indoor dining curfew that has been in place since last fall. Two exceptions remain: (1) you still cannot sit at a bar, and (2) individual counties and towns are able to enact their own curfews.

At a press conference, Murphy said, "I feel confident in signing this order because of the recent trends in our hospitals and our rate of transmission. We believe that we can make this expansion without leading to undue further stress on our health care system."

Murphy's new executive order also raises indoor capacity of restaurants from 25 percent to 35 percent.

Gyms and indoor entertainment venues, like movie theaters, also saw a 10 percent increase in indoor capacity.

The 150-person cap on events like religious services, weddings, or political activities remains as-is.

On Wednesday, Gov. Murphy announced there were another 2,021 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and another 52 people had died from the virus. The state also reported just over 835,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine had been administered to residents.

Gov. Murphy's new executive order begins at 6AM Friday, just in time for Super Bowl weekend.
