Miss America Statue Unveiled in Atlantic City

Get your camera ready! Miss America will now have a permanent spot on the world famous boardwalk in Atlantic City.City officials unveiled a new bronze statue honoring the Miss America Pageant. Mayor Don Guardian, Miss America Suzette Charles and Miss America Nina Davuluri were on hand to pose next to the Miss America statue which stands over 7 and 1/2 feet. The new statue is loosely modeled after former Miss America Mallory Hagan. The statue also incorporates features from other past winners

The Miss America Pageant will be live from  Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on Sept. 14, the day after the annual “Show Us Your Shoes” parade on the Boardwalk.
