Middle Twp. Police Investigating Dead Body Found in Rest Room

Cops in Middle Township say they are investigating the circumstances behind a dead body being found in a portable rest room Thursday evening at a local soccer field.

According to authorities, Middle Township Police received a call via 911 about an unconscious/unresponsive person at the Middle Township Public School’s Boyd Street Soccer Field in Cape May Court House just before 7:00 Thursday night. They say, "upon arrival it was revealed the subject had been found in a porta potty at the field and had been deceased for a period time."

Police say during a soccer game, which started earlier that evening, several people attempted to use that portable rest room but it was locked. Security was notified, they forced the door open, and they found the victim, identified as 36-year-old John Hruska of Cape May Court House, laying on the floor.

A preliminary investigation does not suggest foul play and that Hruska had entered the porta-potty earlier that day.
