Therapy dogs are used to help people in many different ways. They can reduce stress, provide comfort, and help put a smile on someone’s face. However, this therapy dog is extra special. Meet Cole,  the therapy dog who has special needs of his own. Cole is deaf. Yet that does not take away from his ability to be warm and loving to others. Cole provides happiness for veterans, the elderly, and children.

Here to explain more is Cole’s adopted dad Chris Hannah, who is also a music teacher at Dr. William H. Mennies Elementary School in Vineland where Cole joins him every day to greet the students and promote compassion and acceptance. Communicating through sign language, Chris and Cole have a special bond that has touched the lives of many people as a part of the Team Cole Project.
