Vince Mazzeo is the latest South Jersey politician in hot water for an offensive Facebook post and he has a unique explanation for how it happened.

Mazzeo, state assemblyman for Atlantic County and candidate for NJ Senate, posted a video titled "Illegal Immigrants Training for the Trump Wall" on Facebook earlier this week,  as first reported on Townsquare Media's Harry Hurley Show on WPG 104.1 & 1450AM.

The video shows men with ladders racing to climb a wall. Mazzeo has since deleted the posting.  We have included the video in this blog.

Mazzeo's explanation for posting the video is a doozy. When contacted by the Press of Atlantic City about the video, Mazzeo blamed poor eyesight for not being able to see clearly what he was posting.

“I didn’t have my glasses on,” Mazzeo said. “I was scrolling through my news feed. I have very bad vision with my reading, and I did share it, but I noticed that I posted it and I took it down immediately. It certainly is something I didn’t want to share.”

Mazzeo's inappropriate video posting comes within two weeks of a backlash over Atlantic County Republican Freeholder John Carman's posting of a meme asking, “Will the woman’s protest be over in time for them to cook dinner?” during the Women’s March in Washington D.C.

We have included the video in question.  If you plan on re-posting it on Facebook, we would suggest that you watch it carefully first with your glasses on.
