South Jersey's got a ton of hidden gems, but nothing quite compares to the Funny Farm Animal Rescue.

Located in Mays Landing, near Buena, the Funny Farm is home to more than 550 animals all within the care of founder Laurie Zaleski whose job NEVER ends. I've been able to visit the Funny Farm with my niece and nephew quite a few times. It always amazes me how well she's able to meet these animals needs.

Funny Farm has posted to their Facebook page as of Monday, July 12th, that they are in desperate need of volunteers. Since the heat's been so intense lately, they need to make sure to provide adequate water to all the animals each and every day. The Facebook post shared by Laurie and her team at Funny Farm specifies two shifts up for grabs every single day. You can choose to volunteer from 10a-12p or from 1-3p. If you're really looking to make a difference and are interested in taking on both shifts, that's also an option as well.

You can even bring the kids!

Volunteers of all ages are welcome to come and help out the animals. All the Funny Farm team requires is that each 15-year-old volunteer or younger to please be accompanied by an adult. Other than that, all you'd need to do is to fill out a waver which can be found HERE and drop on over to the Funny Farm for whichever shift you prefer. You can also reach out to them via their Facebook page.

Make sure you share this with all of your friends so we can get Laurie and all those animals the help they need.
