Two boaters face charges after a Mays Landing woman died during a alleged drunk boating mishap Sunday.

According to Breaking AC, Iesha Calero-Thies, 39, was elected from a boat being operated by Arthur Lesbirel III as it traveled off the coast of Galloway Township at about 7:30 pm Sunday.

The reports quotes a Galloway Police report that says the woman was ejected from the 18-foot Beachcraft and then struck by the propeller.

Breaking AC reports that Calero-Thies was pulled back in to the boat and taken to the Atlantic City Coast Guard. She was then transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Lesbirel, 42, of Mays Landing, was charged with boating under the influence.
The boat’s owner, Robert Pruchnicki, 34, of Galloway Township, was charged with allowing someone under the influence to operate the vessel.

In her obituary, Iesha Calero-Thies is remembered fondly by her family...

She was a loving daughter, caring sister, wild cousin, giving aunt, cherished granddaughter, adoring niece, overwhelmingly kind, compassionate, loving and above all a TRUE friend and AMAZING Mother. She left a world full of loving family, friends and Honored son. She will be greatly missed by many and I mean many! She was a beautiful soul and no one compares to her. I’m asking for help financially from her family and friends in sharing the cost to lay her to rest.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
