Mattress Firm Stores Closings Due to Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

Mattress Firm, which has multiple.locations in the Garden State, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and up to 700 stores will close as a result.

USA Today reports that 200 of the stores will permanently close their doors in a matter of day. Six stores will close in New Jersey, including the Mattress Store in Hammonton located on the South White Horse Pike.

The will be no Mattress Firm going out of business or liquidation sales. The company instead will move merchandise to other locations.

The company owns over 3,200 stores nationwide and employees over 10,000 workers. According to the report, the Mattress firm locations on the closing list will be physically out of their locations by the end of October.
