Cindy Ord/Getty Images[/caption]Tomorrow marks the 27th anniversary of the release of 'Kokomo' by the Beach Boys.  It was released to coincide with the release of the movie "Cocktail" featuring Tom Cruise, and its subsequent soundtrack. And if you're still looking for a place called Kokomo off the Florida Keys, good luck with that.  It's not a real place, but it sure does look like it would be fun to visit!

Though I never saw the movie "Cocktail", I probably saw the music video for 'Kokomo' like a hundred times, especially the summer it came out.  The video featured Carl Wilson on guitar, Al Jardine on tambourine, Bruce Johnston on bass guitar, Mike Love on saxophone, and (yes!) John Stamos on conga, bongos and steel drum.  I just watched it again, and you know what?  Even after all these years, it still puts a smile on my face.  How 'bout you??

Now if you want to go and get away from it all...Go down to Kokomo!  :)
