I must admit...ripe avocados are not exactly the most appealing fruit in the looks department.  They're dark green/black and kinda rough on the outside.  But on the inside they are quite awesome.  And yummy too!

Avocados are high in healthy fats.  Yeah, I said healthy, so relax.  All fats are not created equal.  Avocados are nutritious and contain twenty different vitamins and minerals.  They have more potassium than even bananas!  They are loaded with fiber too.

Wanna hear even more good stuff??  Eating avocados can lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels, so they're good for your heart.  Gotta <3 that!  And they're loaded with powerful antioxidants that can protect your eyes.  They may even help prevent cancer.  And check this one...avocado extract may relieve symptoms of arthritis.  Wow!

Avocados are delicious just the way they are...but you can also use them to make guacamole.  And as most everyone knows, guac rocks.  :)
