Marlene’s DVD Review : Top Five [VIDEO]

Rob Kim/Getty Images[/caption]'Top Five' is a movie written by Chris Rock, directed by Chris Rock, & starring (you guessed it!) Chris Rock.  So...if you're a fan of Chris Rock, then (obviously) you should see the movie.  And I'm pretty sure you're gonna like it a lot.

Not only am I a Chris Rock fan, I am a fan of stand-up comedy.  So I knew I wanted to check this flick out.  The movie is about Andre Allen (played by Chris Rock), a stand-up comedian turned film star who decides he wants to switch to a dramatic movie role instead.  But can he pull it off and leave his comedic roots behind?  He thinks so, but apparently his biggest fans think otherwise.

Chris Rock keeps the story line moving with a star-studded cast of interesting (and  funny) characters...including Rosario Dawson, Kevin Hart, Tracy Morgan, Cedric The Entertainer, and more.  It even includes cameos by Whoopi Goldberg, Adam Sandler, and Jerry Seinfeld.  Funny stuff for sure.  Music plays a key part in the movie too.  In fact, the executive music producer is Questlove of The Roots.  Gotta <3 Questlove!
