In 'Cake', Jennifer Aniston plays a woman suffering from chronic pain. As the story unfolds, we eventually come to find out why she is in chronic pain. Her debilitating pain has led her to rely more and more on painkillers. This in turn leads to haunting dreams and hallucinations, as well as a good deal of anger and depression.

Aniston's portrayal of the main character was very impressive. It was strange to see Aniston in a dramatic role with no makeup and drab clothes, but she really pulled it off. And beneath her character's angry, bitter exterior was a vulnerable woman whose emotional scars were just as painful as her physical ones.

'Cake' is a powerful movie and well-worth seeing. It proves that, as an actress, Jennifer Aniston is more than just a pretty face. :)
