Major Power Outages Continue in South Jersey

More than 6,000 homes and businesses in Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland and Southern Ocean counties are still without power due to Tuesday's severe stroms.     

Atlantic County seems to be hit the hardest with over 8,000 experiencing no power. The most severe outage is taking place in Gloucester County with over 60,000 reports of no power.

According to Atlantic City Electric, service may not be restored until Sunday at midnight. The strom caused more power outages than Hurricane Sandy. Close to 220,000 outages were reported to Atlantic City Electric after Superstorm Sandy. More than 280,000 were without power due to the recent storm. Sandy did cause more extensive damage to homes and property.
