Lottery Frenzy Continues as Jackpots Soar to Over $1Billion

The Mega Millions jackpot now stands at $615 million and the Powerball jackpot is at $515 million according to the NJ Lottery website. That's a staggering $1.165 Billion dollars when you combine both jackpots. That also comes out to the 12th largest jackpot in lottery history according to NJ.com.
The odds of hits the Mega Millions jackpot for tonight is also staggering coming in at 302,525,350 to 1 of matching all five number plus the Mega Ball.
The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot for Wednesday's drawing are slightly better coming in at 292,201,388 to 1. Both jackpots can also get even bigger before theor respective drawings.
South Jersey did have a big winner this week as a ticket, which was good for second place and a one million dollar payout, was sold at Jersey Bagel & Food located on Sicklerville Road in Sicklerville according to NJ.com. The winning numbers from the January 8th jackpot were: 3, 6, 16, 18 and 58. The Mega Ball was 11 and the Megaplier was 2X.
I'm trying to think of all things I would do if I were to hit either the Mega Millions or Powerball jackpots. I would take care all of my bills, maybe buy new cars for my family, payoff college loans for both of my boys and buy a house somewhere warm year round with no snow!
