The opening of a much anticipated chain restaurant in Egg Harbor Township was put off because of the coronavirus pandemic and shutdown.

Now that New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has given the OK for restaurants to open indoor seating (at 25% capacity) this coming week, it appears that the Texas Roadhouse restaurant will be opening soon.

It's expected when the restaurant does open, it will open for both indoor and outdoor seating, based on the tents that have been put up on the premises.

A sign in the front door states that the restaurant is not open yet - as employee training is underway. That's certainly a necessity for not only a brand new restaurant, but for any restaurant being open with new safety protocols in place.

We're hearing (unofficially)  that Monday, July 6th will be date that the Texas Roadhouse is open to the public.

The restaurant is located in the Oak Tree Plaza of Egg Harbor Township, at the corner of the Black Horse Pike and Fire Road.
