Airmen from the 177th Fighter Wing of the New Jersey Air National Guard, who departed the Atlantic City Air National Guard Base in Egg Harbor Township in early April for an Air Expeditionary Force deployment to the Middle East in support of U.S. Central Command, returned home on Tuesday.

After four months away from their loved ones, kids and families, there was a lot to be happy about on the runway as the Airmen touched down at home.

Whenever I see photos of military dads and their young children reuniting after so much time apart, I think about how much I miss my own kids when I'm out of town for a day or two, much less four months. Thanks to all who were part of this mission for your service to our country.

The photographs, by U.S. Air National Guard photo by Senior Master Sgt. Andrew J. Moseley, give you an inside look at these brave men and women returning from deployment.
