Thank you so much for all the great nominations as we continue to salute all of the brave hereos who showed extraordinary courage during Hurrincae Sandy.

Here are just a few of touching stories we received.

  • Steve is the director of the Humane Society of Atlantic County. He stayed with the animals throughout the storm and worked throughg the night to keep them safe.
  • Kevin  is my hereo. He helped several people who drove their cars through flooded waters plus, had time to fix my daughter's hot water heater.
  • My father Bill works for AC electric and worked 17 hour shifts to restore power in AC while his own home took on water.
  •  My hubby Ronald is a Brigantine Fire Fighter. Ron made many rescues the day of the storm including swimming to rescue a 3 month old baby. He worked 99 hours of overtime. He is my true hero.
  • Ruben is my nece's husband, they came to stay with my family and helped me clean out my basement which took 8 feet of water. He worked very hard with no heat or hot water while not knowing the status of his own home.
  • The day right after the storm my friend Cynthia was at shelters helping out from morning to night. And she is also helping her students and parents affected by Sandy.

So many truly inspirational stories! One more name tomorrow morning at 9:20. Grand prize drawing at 9:50 on the Lite Rock Morning Show wiht Eddie Davis.
