Congratulations to Kristen Fisher, the Lite Rock Teacher of the Month for March, 2021.

Mrs. Fisher is a kindergarten teacher at Shaner Elementary school in Mays landing. She was nominated by her student Savi Rodriquez's mom, Crystal for doing an excellent job of engaging her son while teaching her virtually this year.
According to Mrs. Rodriquez...

Mrs. fisher has been Savi's virtual teacher this year. She started with some kids virtual and some kids in school, so Mrs. Fisher was teaching both virtual and in class students. Then she became an all-virtual teacher taking numerous students from other classes. Her class size more than doubled! She is so patient with the students no matter how many times they unmute themselves. She somehow finds the time to private message me when she notices Savi isn't her usual chipper self and makes special comments on Savi's homework. She amazes us every day with her spirit and compassion.
