Last month, we told you about how Payless had filed for Voluntary Chapter 11 protection and that the company would be closing all of their stores.  At that time, the discount shoe retailer said that anyone with a Payless gift card with a balance would have until March 11, 2019 to use that card.  On a webpage dedicated to answering FAQ's that customers may have, Payless said,

"We have sought authorization from both Courts to continue to honor customer gift cards and store credit until March 11, 2019, and to continue to allow returns and exchanges of applicable non-final sale purchases made prior to February 17, 2019, until March 1, 2019. We have discontinued our Rewards programs and have terminated all outstanding merchandise coupons in North America, effective immediately."

Payless has several locations in Atlantic, Cumberland, and Cape May Counties, including stores in Wildwood, Rio Grande, Cumberland Mall in Vineland, Collegetown Shopping Center in Glassboro, Cherry Hill Mall and locations in Lyndhurst, Woodbridge, North Bergen and Hillsborough.

Payless is just one of several retailers that were predicted to close in 2019.  Click here to see more.
