Jersey Shore...Mays Landing?

Will the cast of MTV's "Jersey Shore" move into a rental house in Mays Landing in August?

The series, a collaboration between MTV and 495 Productions, will be entering its fourth season after previously filming in Seaside Heights, Atlantic City, Manalapin and Las Vegas.

The third season of "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" debuted last week.

Monday night's meeting resulted in the Township Council tabling the production company's proposal, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

495 Productions reportedly sent Hamilton Township a letter seeking support to film on private property at an Airbnb in Mays Landing. The proposal, which surrounds a "staycation" episode of the series, included dates to complete filming in August.

For now, it seems that Township officials want more information before signing off on the show coming to town.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, Hamilton Township Committeeman John Kurtz found the letter too vague with regard to what 495 was planning to do while filming.

“I have questions about what kind of filming are they doing? What’s the objective of what they are filming? Where is the location of the rental property where they are looking to stay at?” I think they have to be a little bit more specific.”
