During this month's Ask The Mayor program on WPG Talk Radio 1450, Mayor Don Guardian was asked about the future of the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City.

When asked if the Miss America Pageant has a future in Atlantic City, Mayor Guardian simply responded, "maybe." When asked if it could be on the block, the mayor said, "it could be."

After losing the pageant to Las Vegas in the mid 2000s, Atlantic City welcomed the show back to its hometown in 2013, but this is the final year of the contract that keeps the pageant in the world's playground.

Mayor Don Guardian said there's no doubt losing the pageant - again - would be a huge public relations hit for the city. The Mayor went on to say that one of the biggest features of the show is how great Atlantic City and all of its attractions look on national television.
