Egg Harbor Township Police have released the identity and personal information about the teen who was shot and killed by another teen Friday night. Reading his obituary and learning about his jobs and what he liked to do seems to make his death even more heartbreaking.

Alejandro Gonzalez-Santos died from a gunshot wound to the head inflicted by a 17-year-old male at a Woodrow Avenue home Friday evening, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. Reports say that both boys were students at Egg Harbor Township High School.

Gonzalez-Santos was a junior at Egg Harbor Township High School who had a summer job at Castaway Cove on the Ocean City boardwalk, and loved riding his skateboard and playing Xbox, according to his obituary.

Police have not made public the 17-year-old suspect's identity because he's a juvenile. The Press of Atlantic City reports that he was charged with aggravated manslaughter and weapons offenses and is being held in the Harborfields Youth Detention Facility in Egg Harbor City, the prosecutor's office said.

Gonzalez-Santos worked as a cashier at the ShopRite in Somers Point.

"He loved going to the boardwalk in Ocean City and riding the amusement rides," the obituary said. His favorite foods were pizza and Hot Pockets.

He was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Alejandro Gonzalez-Santos, Sr. and Crystal Ann Hartman, according to his obituary. Among those he leaves behind are six siblings and his girlfriend.

Through a friend's GoFundMe page, his family are requesting help.

This is a very difficult thing to go threw and to ask of people but we need help with the cost as it was so unexpected . Alex was such a great kid and he was doing so well, my kids grew up with him and everyone is feeling the loss of him very hard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
