I am a huge fan of pizza.  I simply love pizza, and I don't care about a lot of fancy toppings.

To me, pizza is about the sauce and the cheese.  Problem is, I was lookin' for a healthier choice in the cheese department.  And I think I may have found it!  My new fave alternative to plain cheese pizza is... goat cheese pizza!
I decided one day to try pizza with just sauce and goat cheese.  The first time I ordered it the girl at the pizza place tried to talk me out of it.  She thought I wanted goat cheese along with mozarella.  Nope, just goat cheese please.
The texture is a bit strange on pizza.  It doesn't melt like mozarella.  It sorta just sits on top of pizza in blobs.  I know that doesn't sound very appetizing, but don't knock it till you try it.
And check this out...goat cheese has fewer calories, less fat, more calcium, and more protein than cheese made from cow's milk.

I realize I may not start a goat cheese pizza trend, but you can always try goat cheese along with traditional mozzarella.  Who knows??  You may really like the change.  After all, variety is the spice of life.  :)
