Welcome to Lite Rock's weekly look at fun thing to do around South Jersey, Lite Rock's Weekend Happenings. There are so many fun events planned for this weekend, You will have no problem finding something to your liking.

Now let's hope the weather will just hold out for the outdoor activities, including our featured event, Mays Landing's Hometown Celebration.

The 2017 Hometown Celebration is free and runs from 10a-5p at Lake Lenape. Highlights of the day will include an unlocking of Lake Lenape, a 500 beach ball drop, live music, games, train rides for kids, a car show, the Parade of Champions, a pooch parade, bike parade and food and crafts vendors.
