Ladies, nothing looks better than a sharp pair of pumps. However, despite their popularity, high heels can wreak havoc on your feet and your entire body.

Women are four times more likely than men to have foot problems and high heels are one of the biggest culprits.  Among some of the problems are bunions, hammertoes, and Achilles tendonitis.

However, the pain does not stop at our feet. High heels push out our chest and lower back, resulting in poor body posture and improper alignment which can lead to chronic back and hip pain.

It looks like beauty does come at a price. So ditch the stilettos for one-inch or wedged heels to support your feet or wear flats as often as possible.
