A museum set to honor Harriet Tubman is coming to Cape May!

A former pastor's house will be resorted and transformed in the museum which will include a permanent exhibit on the abolitionist who spending time during the 1850's raising money to help slaves escape from the South.

The museum will also serve as recognition to the African American population that once lived in the area.

To make this project possible, $700,000 so the building can be elevated to avoid potential flooding.

The hope is to have this project completed by 2020.
