Hammonton Police will be busy this weekend, conducting a sobriety checkpoint in their city.

Police say the DWI sobriety checkpoint, done with the cooperation of the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, will be held Saturday night, beginning at 8pm, ending at 2am Sunday morning.

Police say the checkpoint will be held in front of the Econo Lodge on Route 30.

Please use caution when driving in the area. We are working to keep the roadways safe for travel.
Yes we are required to publicly announce the checkpoint. It’s ok. We really hope people don’t drive under the influence.
As always you can help to be part of the solution by using a designated driver, taking a Cab, Uber, Lyft, or calling a friend if you plan to drink away from home.
