Cops in Hamilton and Egg Harbor Townships are asking for your help as they try to track down several dangerous people and a stolen car that was involved in two parking lot robberies Monday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Egg Harbor Township Police Department, the first incident happened just before 2 PM in the parking lot in front of Marshall's on the Black Horse Pike in Mays Landing. There, officials say,

[A] victim exited her vehicle to retrieve her purse from the trunk. As the victim walked away from her vehicle towards the store, she observed two males hanging out between nearby vehicles. A third male approached her from behind and stole the purse from her shoulder. The males then fled in a black vehicle, which then circled around and tried to strike the victim prior to fleeing the area. The suspects were described as young black males dressed in hoodies and jeans.

Less than an hour later, Egg Harbor Township cops responded to the English Creek Shopping Center parking lot for a report of a strong-armed robbery and assault. In that case, officials say a 64-year-old man was knocked to the ground and struck several times by a group of men who, authorities say, are believed to be the same people from the incident at Marshall's. Here, the man's car keys and other items were stolen.

Police say the group left the English Creek Shopping Center in two vehicles -- one, which was owned by the man who was assaulted, and the other, which was stolen out of Barnegat.

Officials continue,

Egg Harbor Township Police Officer Eliael Ramirez quickly located the stolen vehicle from Barnegat traveling south on Fernwood Avenue, from Route 322. The driver of the suspect vehicle did not stop for Officer Ramirez and fled from him. As the suspect vehicle turned onto West Jersey Avenue to travel east, it crashed into another motorist traveling east. The suspect vehicle was last seen on West Jersey Avenue travelling into the Harbor Square Mall access road, adjacent to Route 322.

The stolen vehicle from Barnegat, which fled from police, is described as a black 2017 Hyundai Elantra.

The other vehicle, owned by the assaulted man, is a blue 2020 Toyota Camry, which was located in Atlantic City.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents is urged to contact Det. Kyle Warren of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department at (609) 926-4051 or Det. Gregory Blouse of the Hamilton Township Police Department at (609) 625-2700.
