Every Thursday morning at 7:10 am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City introduces the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

This week we met Gwen the dog...

Here's some information on Gwen from the Humane Society of Ocean City...

"Gwen is a 3-year-old chihuahua. She was surrendered to the shelter when her owner realized they could no longer properly care for her.

She is as cute as a button and as sweet as a box of Shriver's saltwater taffy. Gwen does not want to just sit around and be admired for her beauty. She is a high-energy girl that loves long walks and running around in the yard.

Gwen does not appreciate the company of dogs or cats (a little bit "snooty") so will need to be the only pet. She would do fine in a fun, happy household with older kids.
