Guns and Drugs Seized, Six Arrested on Atlantic Ave. in Atlantic City

Following-up on complaints from business owners and residents, cops in Atlantic City hit Atlantic Avenue on Thursday and they did not come-up empty handed.

The ACPD says officers assigned to the Special Investigations Section and Operations Division conducted a street operation in the business district along Atlantic Avenue. The operation resulted in the recovery of five guns (three were reported to be stolen), assorted ammunition, one hundred bags of heroin, 313 grams of marijuana, scales, baggies, and containers used to distribute narcotics.

Six men were arrested and a wanted warrant has been issued for the arrest of 24-year-old Diatre Jackson of Atlantic City. He is facing three counts of certain person not to possess a weapon, and single counts of receiving stolen property, possession of CDS paraphernalia, and possession of hollow-point ammunition.

The following people were arrested:

ARRESTED: Nehemiah Letson, a 27-year-old man from Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Two counts of certain person not to possess a weapon and receiving stolen property, a single count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public zone, and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

ARRESTED: Jeffrey Armstrong, a 30-year-old man from Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a Public Zone, and contempt of court.

ARRESTED: David Woodward, a 23-year-old man from Pleasantville.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

ARRESTED: Patrice Dowe, a 25-year-old man from Galloway.
CHARGES: Two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

ARRESTED: Jeremiah Wilson, a 25-year-old man from Pleasantville.
CHARGES: Possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

ARRESTED: Jordan Pena, a 26-year-old man from Channelview, TX.
CHARGES: Possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
