It looks like there will be a summer after all at the Boys and Girls Club in Atlantic City. The club orgiannlly closed on May 8th due to the lack of funding. The club was given a two week deadline in order to raise the neccessary funds to keep the club open for the summer.

A goal was established at $500,000 by August 31st to keep the club afloat. Donations came in from Atlanticare, South Jersey Gas and former Sen. Bill Gormley. An additonal $900,000 is needed tyo keep the club open past the summer and into 2015.

According to maypr Don Guardian " “The work is not nearly done, but the Boys & Girls Club has taken the first step to recovery.”

If you'd like to help with donations and help the club meet their goal you can call  Dan Goldberg at 609- 345-5888 or Joe Corbo at 609-317-7007.
