The Memorial Day weekend can't come soon enough!

The unofficial kickoff to the summer of 2015 starts this Friday. It's time to relax and have some fun in the sun with friends and family. We should also take the time to thank all of those who served and continue to serve.

According to our meteroligist Dan Zarrow, Friday, Saturday and Sunday looks good. We could see some rain, showers or thunderstorms amd more humid conditions late Sunday into Memorial Day.

Here's Memorial Day Checklist to help you plan your first BBQ or party for the long holiday weekend.

Have plenty of ice and plenty to drink on hand including ice cold water, lemonade and soda. Beer is the most popular adult beverage.

Hamburgers and hotdogs are the most popular food items for your BBQ. You can include ribs, pork tenderloin, chicken, and a grilled vegetable assortment.

Have plenty of sides available like veggies, fruits, salads, chips and dips. Don't forget about desserts like cookies, brownies, and cupcakes.

Whose ready for the long holiday weekend?
