Get Ready For a Special Edition of “Pageant Confidential”.

The Miss America Pageant is set to air live from Boardwalk Hall this Saturday starting at 8 PM. Airing right before the start of the show will be another edition of “Pageant Confidential: The Road to Miss America.” According to Miss America CEO and Chairman Sam Haskell, there will be a surprise for viewers during the show.

Two of the 53 contestants do have local ties to South Jersey. Miss New Jersey, Cierra Kaler-Jones, lives in Galloway Township, and Miss Delaware, Brittany Lewis, called Brigantine home when she was grwoing up.

Here's some of the Miss America related events scheduled for this week.

Sept. 9-11: Preliminary competiton for Miss America contestants. Tickets available through ticketmaster.com.

Sept. 13: The Miss America Anniversary Celebration will be held at the Pier at Caesars starting at 10 AM. For ticket info call 609-653-8700.

Sept. 13: The Miss America Show Us Your Shoes Parade starts at Revel at 5 PM. Free seating is available. For more info on tickets visit showusyourshoes.com. Tickets also available at the Boardwalk Hall Box Office. Cash only for tickets.

Sept. 14: The Miss America finals will be held live at Boardwalk Hall starting at 8 PM. Tickets available at ticketmaster.com.
