Two men originally from South Jersey have been charged with the murders of three people in Maplewood in late January.

Lavelle Davis, 33, of Galloway and former Egg Harbor Township resident Jimmy Mays have been arrested and charged with three counts of murder, as well as conspiracy, felony murder, robbery and weapons offenses.

According to Essex County prosecutors Lavelle Davis, 33, of Galloway, was arrested Saturday in Yonkers, New York.

The Press of Atlantic City reports that that arrest came after Jimmy Mays was arrested Friday in Maryland.

Authorities had not disclosed a motive for the slayings of Michael Davis, 45, of Maplewood; Roshana Kelson, 30, of Paterson; and Lance Fraser, 44, of Newark. The three were found shot to death in a Maplewood home Jan. 29.
