Officials say four members of one family from Philadelphia were rescued from the surf off of North Wildwood late Sunday.

NJ.com reports around 7:30 Sunday evening, a person went into the ocean and was pulled out to sea by a rip current. Another member of that family went into the ocean to rescue the first swimmer, but that person also began to struggle. Then, two more people went into the water and those people began to struggle as well.

According to NJ.com, several members of the beach patrol brought two of the swimmers to shore, while firefighters and the beach patrol combined to rescue the two others.

All four people were brought to a local hospital to be checked-out. One person was hospitalized and is expected to recover.
