Today we check out the big screen, looking at 1991 in movies!

It's the year that some of my favorite childhood movies premiered, like Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Hook, and City Slickers. Also memorable was The Silence of the Lambs, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and The Addams Family!

It's also the first year that an animated film (Beauty and the Beast) was nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards.

On the business side of things, it was the year that Sony Pictures Entertainment launched, becoming one of the biggest movie studios in Hollywood.
