Today we check out the small screen, going back to 1990 in television!

1990 saw the first ever regular episode The Simpsons, which is still on to this day!

It's also the year that soap opera All My Children aired it's 20th anniversary special featuring Erica Kane. For kids, it was the launch of The Disney Afternoon, with DuckTales, Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers and TaleSpin.

It also marked the end for ALF, Charles in Charge, and Alvin and the Chipmunks.

It was also the year that launched cult-favorite show Twin Peaks, which is interestingly enough being rebooted this year on Showtime with some of the original cast! The new episodes premiere this Sunday at 9 p.m.
