Employees of Atlantic City School District Re-Hired

Good news for more than two dozen employees who were laid off by the Atlantic City School District. They've been rehired just in time for back-to-school.More than 225 employees lost their job at the end of the 2014-15 school year. The 29 have been rehired due to a federal grant to fund a pre-school program. The list of re-hires included seven tenured teachers, ten aides and twelve non-tenured staff.

The school district also has in place a recall list with the purpose of rehiring anyone eligible for openings.
