Egg Harbor Township parents of young children who are dissatisfied with the lack of full-day kindergarten will soon have the chance to voice their support for the idea.

EHT now offers two half-day sessions of kindergarten, which leads to complicated agendas for parents who work full-time and necessitates mid-day bus transportation for the school district.

The Egg Harbor Township Board of Education committee looking in to the the expansion of kindergarten is holding its first meeting at 6pm Thursday, Oct. 27 at Alder Ave. Middle School.

Interim School Superintendent Fred Nickles told Shore News Today he believes expanding to full-day kindergarten would increase test scores and could save families thousands of dollars in after-school care,

Over the years, I've heard many Egg Harbor Township parents grumble about the lack of full-day kindergarten. Here's your chance to change that policy!
