Breaking in to cars during the day is a real good way to get caught.

An Egg Harbor Township man was arrested Saturday afternoon after allegedly  breaking in to vehicles in the area of Heathercroft Condos.

Egg Harbor Township Police say they responded to a call just before 3pm Saturday of a burglary in progress.

Once on the scene, officers observed a suspect running and entering a condominium in the area. A perimeter was quickly set up, and, minutes, later, Tyler Hart, 28, was taken into custody. A quick investigation at the scene resulted in the recovery of several items taken from a vehicle Saturday, and possibly more items from other burglaries.

Hart is being held in county jail on $10,000 bond.

Police ask that if you had items taken from your car in the area recently, you should contact Detective Shawn Owen of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department Criminal Investigations Bureau at 609-926-4051.
