The retail world continues to struggle mightily in 2020 due to the ongoing presence of the COVID-19 pandemic.

More than 6,000 stores will closes their doors this year according to Business Insider. More stores will face the risk of closings their doors for good amid the concerns and lingering effects of the coronavirus pandemic before we say hello to 2021.

The latest round of store closings comes courtesy of the retail coffee giant  Dunkin. The company already announced 450 stores will permanently close in all Speedway convenience stores all along the east coast.

Now Dunkin' has expanded the closing list to close to 800 stores by the end of 2020 as reported by USA Today.The expanded list accounts for the 450 stores that will close at the Speedway gas station locations.

Dunkin' reported a drop of over 18% in sales for the second quarter of 2020. No word on what Dunkin' locations could wind up on the list of stores to be closed before the end of the year.
