The startup date for the $63 million dollar Absecon Island Project is finally here for Ventnor, which comes right at the start of the busiest time of year for the seaside community.
The Press of Atlantic City reports that the beach project is set to begin this week. Equipment needs to complete the project including construction truck and pipes are already clearly visible on the beach.

The project will be done at 1,000 feet intervals on the beach, and will include the construction of a dune right in front of the boardwalk that rises nearly 13 feet above sea level. Look for construction to start at Fredericksburg Avenue and ultimately wind up at Richards Avenue.

After completion in Ventnor the project will continue to move south to Margate and Longport.
