Decision on Closing Trump Taj Mahal May Come Monday

We may know the decision on The Taj Mahal's status by Monday. According to Trump Entertainment Resorts,The Taj may close without concessions from Local 54 of UNITE-HERE.

A federal  Bankruptcy Court Judge could rule as soon as Friday on whether Local 54 must accept new contract terns. Accrodig to representives of Trump Entertainment Resorts, the casino must cut costs by $14.6 million annually in order for the Taj to stay open.

The union has fought new contract terms and proposals including cuts on 401 k plans, benefits and paid breaks. Check back for more updates on The Taj's status.
