The NJ Department of Environmental Protection has been busy over the last few days.

NJ.com reports that the DEP has been dealing with
dead sharks that washed up on the shores of both Atlantic City and Margate over the weekend. Tweets were even coming in about some that were spotted on the Ocean City beach. Take a look:


This isn't the first time marine animals have washed up on our shores. A combination of factors contribute to why this happens from time to time. The good news is that it's not out of the ordinary. South Jersey experienced some really strong wind speeds this weekend, as well as some flooding. The DEP told NJ.com that both of these could explain why the sharks were there.
