The Atlantic City Fire Department could find itself in a dangerous posistion if the power at Revel is turned off.

According to the Atlantic City's fire chief Dennis Brooks, fighting a fire with no power at Revel would be “virtually an impossible task.” Revel's sole energy supplier has threatened to power Revel down this afternoon at 5 PM.

There will be a hearing today to determine if ACR Energy Partners, can turn off the power. The company wants assurances that it will be paid fees in order to keep the power plant next to Revel open.
